Will Gnos always be free?

That's the goal. The core app (reading, audiobooks, notebooks, flashcards, and sketchbook) will be free forever. Optional cloud sync may carry a small fee later, but everything free today stays free.

Why donate? What does it go toward?

Gnos is built by a single developer in their spare time. Donations help cover signing certificates (needed for macOS and Windows distribution) and developer tools, and most importantly, they motivate continued development.

Is my data safe?

Completely. Gnos is a fully offline desktop application. Nothing leaves your computer unless you explicitly move it. No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, ever.
